Star Trek: Phase II joins the campaign to get a star placed on the Hollywood Walk of Fame for Walter Koenig, our friend and star of “To Serve All My Days.” Walter has been a steadfast supporter of Star Trek: Phase II and has consistently spread the word about our production. He has already been nominated and the necessary funds have been secured to manufacture and install the star when and if awarded. Star Trek: Phase II is asking that fans assist in the effort to get Walter his well-deserved star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. The Hollywood Chamber of Commerce – Walk of Fame Committee will meet this June to determine recipients and your help is needed to prioritize Walter’s nomination.
“Walter is a friend to Phase II and deserves this recognition for his career and for the enduring character of Pavel Chekov,” said Phase II Executive Producer, “I hope the Walk of Fame Committee will give serious and thoughtful consideration to his nomination this June, and we can all help by simply picking up a pen and writing a letter of support.”
William Shatner, Leonard Nimoy, DeForest Kelly, George Takei, Nichelle Nichols, and James Doohan have been awarded stars on the Walk of Fame, and you can help see that Walter get his star by writing polite and positive letters showing your support for him, his entertainment career, and his charitable works in the community and around the world. It’s now time for the last member of the original primary cast to be awarded his star on the Walk of Fame as the torch is passed onto a new cast / crew with the premiere of the new J.J. Abrams Star Trek movie in December of 2008. Gene Roddenberry’s original Star Trek is a milestone in American television history and every member of the primary cast is a part of that history. We ask that fans pick up a pen or type out a letter, and send it to the Hollywood Chamber of Commerce to help encourage the committee to finally vote and award Walter a much-deserved star!
