Production Funding Update

You can help us make all five goals here:

Thank you all for your generous donations, We made our FIRST funding goal  of $10,000 for Post-Production on “The Holiest Thing” May 14,2014 around 4pm EST not even a day into our Kickstarter which closes on June 12…

FUNDING GOAL #2 ($20,000):

As of this post, we are currently closing in our SECOND goal of $20,000 total raised, which covers everything in Goal #1, plus covers the additional Post-Production work needed for “Bread and Savagery” – the second episode to feature Brian Gross as Captain James Kirk.

GOAL #3 ($30,000):

Our THIRD goal at the $30,000 mark is to improve the sets, which would include: rebuilding the starboard side of the bridge, building the engineering set and the medical complex. We are painstakingly re-creating the Desilu sound-stage as it was for the show in the 60’s, and we are leaving no stone un-turned, and when completed will be the most accurate Star Trek: The Original Series sets in exsistance. Thanks to the building crew lead by Executive Producer James Cawley and Set Construction Foreman Jeff Mailhotte.

GOAL #4 ($50,000):

Our FOURTH goal, the $50,000 mark, covers all of the earlier goals, PLUS the Mindsifter shoot scheduled to begin June 20th- June 30th. Reaching this goal will help us with getting actors here and various equipment (hard drives for example – a big set is needed each episode, especially since we shoot in Cinema 4K on Red cameras) for this shoot.

GOAL #5 ($90,000):

We would love to surpass our final funding goal of $90,000 so we can move the production well beyond the next level and simplify & improve production and equipment on all levels. In particular we would like to have a permanent lighting grid (and the equipment that entails), so it can speed up scene changes and lighting changes. We’d like to enhance and improve our Digital Ingest and Editing hardware to improve workflow and decrease the amount of time it takes to finish post production on an episode. Everything above Goal #5 will help us achieve those additional goals

Star Trek: Phase II has for 10 years been at the forefront of the fan-film world, enticing such guest stars as George Takei, Walter Koenig, Grace Lee Whitney, Denise Crosby, Barbra Luna and writers such as DC Fontana, David Gerrold, Jon Povill and Marc Scott Zicree to come play in our sandbox. This Kickstarter will help provide you, all our fans and fellow trekkies, with more Star Trek made by fans… for the fans.

If each of you only puts in a mere $10 into this Kickstarter this year, we can take the production into the next Phase (pardon the pun), and have many more Star Trek adventures out to you in less time. So please donate to the Kickstarter and if you are unable to donate, please simply share the link to the Kickstarter to help us make others aware of our production and efforts!

About The Star Trek Phase 2 Team

Star Trek New Voyages: Phase II is an award-winning independent webseries that produces new episodes of Classic Star Trek. Continuing the fourth and fifth seasons of the original series, we film the untold stories of the U.S.S. Enterprise, Captain Kirk, and his crew with the intention of filling in the missing years of the original five year mission, and bridging the gap to Star Trek: The Motion Picture. We are a group of fans who have come together with a common love for the classic era Star Trek for the purpose of having fun while making new episodes. It is the goal of Star Trek New Voyages: Phase II to support and promote the CBS/Paramount Star Trek franchise by giving fans an active way to continue their interest in Classic Star Trek.
