About the Author

Star Trek New Voyages: Phase II is an award-winning independent webseries that produces new episodes of Classic Star Trek. Continuing the fourth and fifth seasons of the original series, we film the untold stories of the U.S.S. Enterprise, Captain Kirk, and his crew with the intention of filling in the missing years of the original five year mission, and bridging the gap to Star Trek: The Motion Picture. We are a group of fans who have come together with a common love for the classic era Star Trek for the purpose of having fun while making new episodes. It is the goal of Star Trek New Voyages: Phase II to support and promote the CBS/Paramount Star Trek franchise by giving fans an active way to continue their interest in Classic Star Trek.
Nicely done all !
We anxiously await the episodes you have that are still unfinished.
By the way. May I suggest that you consider going commercial. Jonathan Frakes and Mirina Sirtis were talking about starting a TNG 1/2 hour comedy series that follows them on the Titan. With the blessing of Paramount and CBS, you could make something truly special. And pay the bills too. Even as a web series.
Although I’m sorry to see James go, Brian Gross looks like he will fill in quite nicely. I love the new look of the Enterprise and, as usual, the CG is outstanding. Also quite impressed with the three-armed alien at the Nav station. Looking forward to all the upcoming excitement. Can’t wait for the new episode.
Good work and good luck all!
I was expecting to see the redesign (TMP) ship, thought I still prefer the classic original design,… its greater length gives the Enterprise a sleeker appearance. My question is this; Why did James Cawley step down from the Kirk role?
Also on a side note, Overall I’ve found these voyages to be far truer and more enjoyable to watch than the 2009 movie. James Cawley seems to hold and produce a finer and truer vision of the series than I’ve seen in a long time. His, and his writers and staffers, productions provide more story than mere razzle dazzle special effects. I would liken it to someone who sits down to the dinner table and enjoys a full meal, over the empty calories of fast food.
Fabulous…..
Well done as always. Gutsy move on James’ part to cast a younger actor who more physically resembles Shatner.
what I like about it is after 43 years of saying (yes, HBD STTOS today) that was a great show, we’d like to see that again paramount and they say,
how about a cartoon?
and the fans say, really, we like the look, feel, sounds characters, political/social commentary of the original, and paramount says,
how about grey pajyamas and a trip down an alien spaceship’s ass?
and the fans say, really, we like the look, feel, sounds characters, political/social commentary of the original, and paramound says,
how about we kill off one of the characters you love, then blow up the ship?
and the fans say, really, we like the look, feel, sounds characters, political/social commentary of the original, and paramound says,
how about we make 3 more series, call them star trek, but try to separate them so much from the original series that the only thing they have in common is space?
and the fans say, really, we like the look, feel, sounds characters, political/social commentary of the original, and paramound says,
how about a bunch more movies that are progressively more torpid each time, so that you’re begging us to stop making them?
and the fans say, bite it paramount, we’ll do it ourselves….
these guys and JJ abrams seem to have gotten it right…great job. looking forward to more episodes
!
Abrams?!?! Are you frickin kidding me? The only thing that “his version” and TOS have in common are space, character names, and uniform colors. The man is a hack, and has far less talent than the Phase II crew. I, for one, will never watch “Into Blechness”
His (Abrams) version of Star Trek is just as amazing as Phase II-and what’s more, it’s getting newer and younger fans to like/love Star Trek!! Isn’t that more important than just getting the franchise to be completely correct all of the time?
I love it !!!
It ties the old episodes to the new movies.
Love it. New Kirk! New Phase 2 ship! Edoan on the bridge! Can’t get any better than this! Love that you’re keeping Peter Kirk. He’s fastly becoming one of my favorite characters. Would like to see more Desalle too!
Now if only he sounded like shatner, his voice, I just can’t stand it too much from the normal one.
it needs a voice over by shatner that would be great…
they need to see if shatner is willing to do voice overs, for this character it would really help it a lot, plus they could pick his mind on ideas too maybe
or someone who sounds like shatner like what they did with back to the future the game, type of things where the voice sounds like the movie actor but is not him etc.. like some sort of clone voice actor, now I am not saying that you should clone shatner or anything like that
Awfully nice of you guys blending the transition between the old school and the new. I can’t wait for newer episodes to come out
I can’t stop watching this! The music. The refit nacels and support pylons. The camera angles. All of which, really bring this back on track for me.
can the shooting of this series be watched. i would pay to see an episode shot?
No, we can’t allow any visitors onto the sets to simply watch: but you can volunteer and help us out as a crew member! Those wishing to volunteer can use the “contact us” link on the website.
The best of NV productions (and I’m enjoyed all of them). Climatic, nostalgic, Trek-ish. Brian Gross is far better Kirk then Chris Pine or Vic Mignogna. And James Cawley is probably best Star Trek producer next only to Roddenberry, Piller and this unorthodox Ron Moore.
