Here to watch Star Trek
Great story, good job making it, but **spoiler**
isn’t Chekov in the movies? How can you write him out?
Hmmm… I’m not quite sure he died…
They just dropped him off on a planet where time goes in reverse and all was well.
Or maybe Chekov was unconscious and reamed the whole thing while the incident with the Klingon ship happened in the waking world?
Well the original Phase II episodes were written before they thought of the original motion picture.
According to James Cameron, no one ever really dies in science fiction. So who knows….?
I AM A STAR TREK FAN; And I’m Not Sure Why It’s Taken Me So Long To Find Out Star Trek- Phase II-New Voyages. But The Important Thing Is That I Did. I Wasn’t Sure How I’d Like It, But After Watching Three Episodes So Far; I Must Admit That I’m Hooked. I Want To Thank All Of You That Have Brought This “To Life”.!! i Feel That You Have Capture The Spirit Of Star Trek. Just As Rick Bergman, And J.J. Abrams Have Done Too. I Just Finished This Episode; Chekov Isn’t Really Dead, For If You’ve Seen The Previews To Episode #4 You Can See Mr. Chekov. As One Fan To Another; You Guys Have Done A Hell-of A Job. If You Haven’t Done So Already, You Should Try To Get A Network On Tv To Try To Run These Episodes. I Know That It’s A Webseries; But That Shouldn’t Matter To A Network. Such As SyFy, Fx, Tv Land Or Whomever Wants To Show Them. Meanwhile; Keep Up The Great Work.!!!! – Tim S.
my question how can he die when mr. chekov is in later episodes , there had to be a cure found.
has me sitting on the edge of my seat.
i am hooked
“It must have been the vodka” may not be available in the version you downloaded but I did find it online at the DNA site in the version titled: To Serve All My Days: A Night in 1969 which is only available streaming on Digital New Age via the link provided on this page (at the very end).
Well done! Love the acrobatic space battles! Most of the space effects are better than the original series, and on your budget that is impressive… Gotta love CGI!
Just a technical note: the Klingon D7-class battlecruiser does not fire from the front of its warp nacelles. The disruptor emitters are on the top and bottom of the flat section of the forward hull. Sure, it looks cool to have it fight like a Bird of Prey, but that’s not the way it was designed. This might have been forgiveable in the context of the original version of this episode, but not in the special edition where Kargh uses the same ship design and also fires from the nacelles. (Sorry, not easy to explain that last bit without spoilers.)
But enough nit-picking!
Gotta say that the young man playing Chekov is very good. I was amazed at how much he looked right for the part in the opening sequence, but later, when they are acting together… Wow!
Great fun! Thank you for letting me re-live my youth… One hour at a time.
I beg to differ, RCartier! As we saw in “Elaan Of Troyius” the Klingon ship does indeed fire its disruptors from its warp nacelles!
I watched a couple of episodes and I across the episode where Peter and Alex wanna get married (hottest couple on there, LOL), but Alex dies. I cried like a baby when that happened. I was just wondering if Peter ever found somebody else 2 love like he did Alex?
Obviously Chekov will be retconned back to continue his exploits. Saw this a while back and just about to watch again. All these ST:P2 episodes are just excellent and getting better all the time.
Check the after credits end scene. SPOILER…..”Wodka has the same effect on me ;p”
Watch after the credits.
“It must have been the Vodka”
I was so sad when Chekov died. Why does he have to get hurt so often?
enjoyed both story lines and how they interacted in this episode, the analogies to economy of war was particularly good
Yes, Dorothy Fontana knew her Trek back in the day–and she still knows how to write a compelling Trek story. We were fortunate to have had her pen the episode. As a side not, I think the entire production crew is looking forward to producing more episodes written by her.
It was a joy to find this website (mentioned in the notices of Malachi Throne’s death yesterday). I’ve watched two episodes so far, and the producers, directors, actors, and the rest of the production crew have done a respectful and respectable job of continuing the franchise.
Thank you for your kind words. Malachi Throne death was a loss, but we are glad to have had him participate in our production. Although we are sad just as you are about his passing, we’re glad that it enabled you (and so many others) to find out about us.
