I really enjoyed these episodes, but I can’t help but note a huge discrepancy when it comes to the Regulan bloodworm, which according to this episode caused a 100 year quarantine of the entire Regulus region, yet in other Star Trek episodes the bloodworm is referred to as a means of treating lymphatic illness and although parasitic, it is not seen as a universal threat as it is in this episode. It also seems in other epiosodes that the bloodworm is a natural native of Regulus II, but in this episode the bloodworm is exposed as a doomsday weapon which completely wiped out the former inhabitants of the Regulus system and is somehow “evolved” from floating particles of formerly human flesh. Such blaring inconsistencies are frustrating to those of us that like some continuity in our Trekking! Also have a bit of a problem accepting the the hero in the end (the female member of the secret Star Fleet team) would have suddenly become a good guy after standing by and watching the entire crew of the contaminated ship get slaughtered by the creatures. This ending just didn’t seem to work. Never the less, I am hooked on Phase ii and will be moving on to the next episode soon.
Best ever

It was nice seeing Denise Crosby in Star Trek again.
. I’ve always been a fan of David Gerrold, and this episode was an awesome bit of Star Trek. Star Trek Phase II, New Voyages, are like watching the original series in 1966 again. The talented crew and actors on these projects are on a level head and shoulders above anything I’ve seen produced. You can see the love and dedication in every episode. To everyone involved, live long and prosper and keep making episodes!!!
