It’s pretty common knowlege that, in addition to playing “Captain Kirk” in our fan production, Mr. James Cawley’s livelihood (and “real life” job) is performing as an Elvis Presley impersonator (although “impersonator” seems like such an inadequate term). The need for Mr. Cawley to maintain his Elvis Presley hair style (and sideburns) even when it overlaps with a Star Trek New Voyages/Phase 2 shoot is just one of those interesting things that viewers have had to learn to deal with (as long as his hair continues to fund our production and pay our bills). Of course, the upside of all this is that, unlike some other Captain Kirks, our Captain Kirk actually uses his own real hair.
