this is incredible! why didnt i know about this sooner?. Even in the first episodes, i’ve seen tv shows that were far more horrible.
This has now become my dirty little obsession. My little naughty secret. OHHHHH IVE BEEN A BAD BAD BOY.
seriously though in each episode, it shows you keep reinvesting into the production. Love the new camera and effects.
Can I be a red shirt on an away mission? This show needs more “Yoman Johnsons”
Another fine episode and one that was far better then the TNG version. I am constantly amazed at the production values. Keep up the good work.
I was an original series fan – there was some sort of ball game on, I had been looking forward to it since I’d heard if it (I was Sci-Fi nut ‘way back then, and Dad thought it was all stupid – he thought a moon trip was nuts and would never happen either). It was the very first argument I ever won with him! Oh – he was lifer military. Anyway, Your work compares quite favorably with the original! The people who weren’t there at the time always forget to include the available technology for filming and post-production at the time, for one thing. For another, they seem to be looking for the characters to look the same. sad. I LOVE your work, and thank you for keeping this spirit alive. This is a time that is even more shadowed than the Cold War, duck-and-cover years, and the hope this ficton offers is badly needed!
Something for your writers: I’ve had this idea for a character I’d love to play! sadly, I’m too old and too damaged now – 57, and I need a cane to walk. A Part Romulan, part Vulcan and part Terran trader born on Earth, trained somewhat on Vulcan, then hijacked by the Romulans, ending up a trader with a Romulan ship and license. a character like this could be an occasional, like Harry Mudd, and would be good for both serious shows and some comic relief. (You could give him a Texan accent, for instance). Anyhow, just a thought; use it if works for you.
Thank you again! Again, you’ve caught the spirit of the original wonderfully without making this a mere clone. Well done! I’ve loved Star Trek from the first airing of the first show, and I’ve watched all I could of ALL of the different shows set in this ficton/universe. I’d move there if I could, like many, many other fans! Take good care, keep up the excellent work, and if I ever end up able to contribute something, you can bet I will!
Ian
When will KITUMBA be released?
Bravo! What a great production!
Wow!! I just discovered this series today, and I was GOBSMACKED at how well you got the “look and feel” of TOS down! As somebody who grew up on TOS when it originally ran, I so appreciate this.
Very well done…keep it up!
another great episode! Thank you so much for what y’all have done to keep TOS alive! The little girl that played the child was a really good actress!
This episode was also an epipsode of the first show of the 2nd season of Sta Trel the next generation, wasn’t it? The first one that showed Doctor kate Polaski.
I have not seen it yet so I do not know??
Much more detailed than the TNG version! Don’t get me wrong, I love them both, but explains the motives of the alien life form much better!
you should watch the special version “To Serve all my Days a night in 1969″ the answer is at the end of the episode
sorry that was in answer to Michael’s question about chekov, i was sure i clicked reply on his comment
Great episode, but how do you reconcile Chekov’s death in Episode 2 with his appearance in Episone 7?
Amazing episode, I loved it! Thank you to all the cast and crew who made this episode possible. Thank you.
Excellent job guys!! This brings the whole original series back as I remember it. The production values are awesome considering the budget you have and I hope I can help you out in the future. Many thanks for all your hard work. Andy
