STNV Featured in Star Trek Magazine & Starlog
(October 27, 2007 - New York) Star Trek: New Voyages makes an appearance in two prominent Trek and science fiction publications. In the November / December issue of Star Trek Magazine (Issue #8 – Page 14), the Beverly Hills premiere of “World Enough and Time” is covered in a brief, but picture filled article titled “New Sulu Adventure Debutes.” Accompanying the article were photos which included behind-the-scenes shots from the “World Enough and Time” shoot and the episode poster. The latest Star Trek Magazine is on-sale now.
In the upcoming December issue of Starlog magazine (Issue #361 – Page 70), in an article titled, “Days of Blood and Fire,” writer Joe Nazarro tells of his experiences on the set during the June 2007 filming of the next New Voyages episode. Given unique access to director David Gerrold, Nazarro’s 6-page article is filled with personal experiences and perspectives on the “Blood and Fire” story, as well as the various activities surrounding the shoot. He writes, “How did ‘Blood and Fire,’ which began life as a Next Generation episode, end up in the Classic Trek Universe? How does Denise Crosby, a Next Generation alum, fit into it?” These and many more questions will be answered in the upcoming issue of Starlog magazine, available on newsstands and bookstores in December.
“This is a great article and a great honor,” said Executive Producer James Cawley, “I’ve read Starlog Magazine since I was a kid. It is great to see this episode get the attention it deserves. Star Trek: New Voyages has come such a long way in such a short time. I want to thank Joe Nazzaro for writing such a wonderful article – he has such a great perspective on the episode.”
